Many of us have had the pleasure of meeting Chris Maile before. A man of many talents, ranging from the trampoline to the bagpipes, I am also pleased to announce that Chris is one of our newest Caledonian Society members. Some may know him from the Oslo Caledonian Pipe band, where you may recall that he was with the team that came to play for us at the tremendously successful meeting in March last year.

This evening, however, Chris will entertain us in his official capacity as Brand Ambassador for Bell’s in Norway. His presentation known as the “Bell’s Whisky Tour” promises to be something both new and exciting. We will be shown the subtle skills of how to blend whisky, and then to ensure that we were all listening…… the  high point of the evening will be when we are able to put into practice our new found skills!

As we will need to have a clean palate to enjoy this whisky tasting to the full, we have decided that the presentation part of the evening will have to take place before the dinner. Accordingly, the doors will open at 1815 hrs and the presentation will start promptly at 1830 hrs. This will allow us to eat dinner at approximately 2045 hrs. If you feel the need, please ensure that you have had a light snack before the whisky tasting.
