Dear Caledonian,

The afternoons are getting shorter, and darker, and that special atmosphere has started to make itself very evident, helped along by the snow. It is therefore once again my pleasure, on behalf of your Committee, to invite you to our Christmas meeting.This is of course the last opportunity for us all to meet together this year, and you are most cordially urged to come along. As is now traditional at this meeting, we can look forward to being served "Julemat".

The evening’s Speaker, our own Hugø Broen, will no doubt add to the general atmosphere and spirit of Christmas with his discourse.

Hugo Broen has been involved in the wine trade for a total of 25 years and is currently Product Director with VinCompagniet, one of Norway’s major wine importers. Prior to joining his present company he held a similar position for 18 years in what we are all probably familiar with as "Polet", or "Vinmonopolet". With such a depth of experience (and tasting!) on which to draw, I am certain we can expect a highly interesting talk and some excellent advice for buying in our Christmas tipples.

As usual, members will be able to enjoy our offer of Dinner, with wines and coffee at the subsidised price of Kr. 200,- per head, and of course guests will be most welcome at the full price of Kr. 270,-.
